Sara co-founded Coffou Partners, a retained executive search firm, in 1994. Since that time, the firm has built deep relationships with well recognized companies like Herman Miller, Kohler, and Eastman Kodak – helping them build and strengthen leadership teams with expertise in sales, marketing, technology, design, engineering, HR, finance, and general management. Earlier career experience includes strategic marketing and product management roles at JP Morgan Chase, Discover Card and IBM. She holds a BA in economics from the University of Michigan and an MBA in marketing and finance from the University of Chicago. Over the years, she has been active in human resource organizations and now volunteers significant time providing strategic, marketing and board planning expertise to emerging not-for-profit arts organizations. She is married, has two grown daughters, and is an accomplished pianist and an avid cook.
Hatice was born and raised in Turkey, but has lived in Chicago since her early teenage years. Her passion for the arts and theatre started at an early age. Haven brought-up in a large family, local theatres were a great source of entertainment for the family since her childhood. She had previously worked for a non-profit consulting firm where she had the responsibility of organizing fundraising events and grant writing prior to starting a career in human resources. Since the mid-90’s she has been on the boards of several arts and culture related organizations as well as served as the President of Turkish American Cultural Alliance. Hatice is excited to be a part of BoHo's board and assist its efforts in enhancing the audience experience.
Jelani Rucker serves as VP of Marketing and Business Development for the JMC Steel Group. He is responsible for developing and managing marketing initiatives across the entire JMC product portfolio, as well as developing new business opportunities and strategic relationships with companies in current and emerging industries. With more than 20 years of leadership experience in business operations, management, and sales and marketing. Prior to joining JMC, he has held senior positions at Lucent Technologies, BCI Communications and TESSCO Inc. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering and a Master of Science degree in Technical Management from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Md. Jelani currently resides in Western Springs, IL with his wife Monique, and their two children Sade and Sanchez.
Mary Kate Robel
A proud BoHo Theatre board and company member, Mary Kate brings years of stage management and corporate event experience to the company. Having worked at large and small Chicago-area companies and theatres like Goodman, Chicago Shakespeare, Court, Timeline, CollaborAction, AboutFace, and the bucolic Peninsula Players in Door County, she knows that BoHo will bring you a spectacular evening of theatre.
Nancy Bullock “grew up” in the local theater and music world in Kalamazoo, Michigan, before starting her marketing career at Procter and Gamble. She is currently President of Digital Market Solutions and is excited to bring her marketing knowledge to BoHo Theatre. Nancy strongly believes that theater and art creates the “soul” to every society and is focused on helping to build a solid foundation for BoHo Theatre’s next 10 years. Nancy has always loved the amazing creative scene in Chicago and is very excited to be a part of BoHo Theatre’s evolution and development.
Richard "Dick" Maxen is a retired educator, avid theatre goer, and world traveler. He enjoys the arts in all forms but has a penchant for musical theatre. He is impressed by the talented actors who perform in BoHo productions and the rich Chicago theatre scene. Although he lives in a northern suburb with his wife, Marilyn, he considers himself a proud Chicagoan.
Silvia Rota was born and grew up in Italy. She has been exposed to theater, opera, musical and other forms of art since she was young. She practiced law for a long time in her country and for a while in Chicago; she strongly believes that her experience and background can help BoHo Theater’s evolution and development. Silvia, quoting Eduardo de Filippo, a famous Italian actor and play writer, believes that: “Theater means living seriously and intensely what others in real life perform poorly.”
Jean Zuiker has lived in Evanston for more than 25 years, after growing up in the north woods of Wisconsin. Having had little exposure to live theater "up north" she has become a great fan of both live theater and opera, and finds special joy in the smaller, more intimate venues in Chicago, especially BoHo. Having worked in corporate settings for her entire career in the Chicago area, Jean is delighted to serve on the board of the BoHo Theatre. While being able to draw on her varied work and life experiences, the board service offers a new perspective and new opportunities. Jean invites and challenges all audience members to support BoHo through donations of money and/or time, and by bringing your friends and fellow theater lovers to BoHo productions.
