Silvia Rota was born and grew up in Italy. She has been exposed to theater, opera, musical and other forms of art since she was young. She practiced law for a long time in her country and for a while in Chicago; she strongly believes that her experience and background can help BoHo Theater’s evolution and development. Silvia, quoting Eduardo de Filippo, a famous Italian actor and play writer, believes that: “Theater means living seriously and intensely what others in real life perform poorly.”

Jean Zuiker

Jean Zuiker has lived in Evanston for more than 25 years, after growing up in the north woods of Wisconsin. Having had little exposure to live theater "up north" she has become a great fan of both live theater and opera, and finds special joy in the smaller, more intimate venues in Chicago, especially BoHo. Having worked in corporate settings for her entire career in the Chicago area, Jean is delighted to serve on the board of the BoHo Theatre. While being able to draw on her varied work and life experiences, the board service offers a new perspective and new opportunities. Jean invites and challenges all audience members to support BoHo through donations of money and/or time, and by bringing your friends and fellow theater lovers to BoHo productions.
